ABOUT DADS CLUB

JES Dads are the very best in the district, serving our school in a variety of ways – check out a few below. Joining is simple: get on the GroupMe.

To make sure you’re set to volunteer, make sure your family has registered for JES PTO, and that you’ve gotten a background check with the district. It’s a quick online form, and once you get email confirmation, you’re approved to volunteer in CISD.

What JES Dads Do

They host Dragons and Donuts Breakfasts every semester

On one Friday morning each semester, DADs Club hosts a breakfast before school. Kids and their Dads (all parents are welcome!) meet in the Cafeteria at 7AM to enjoy a special speaker while they eat together.

They help with car line on bad weather days

If you use car line, you know that our wonderful staff is stationed along the drop-off area to help your kids get from the car to the building. When it rains, our amazing Dads mobilize to take over car line so our staff doesn’t have to!

They Grill

The Dads Club Grill opens for events throughout the year! Catch them at JES Tailgate, Fall Picnic, and more. The best hot dogs in town!

They do heavy lifting

The PTO fulfills Teacher Wishlists twice a year, and sometimes large furniture pieces need to be assembled and/or delivered to the classrooms. Our Dads help make it happen!

They make pancakes for STAAR testers

STAAR test days are long and boring for the kids. Our Dads make the day a little sweeter by hosting a pancake breakfast the morning of the test. The kids get an extra boost of energy and positive vibes.

They sign up and show up

Our Dads volunteer for other activities that happen around the school too! From Field Day and JES Olympics to the Library, we can always count on JES Dads to have our backs.

If you’re a father figure who wants to be part of the hottest club in town, we want you!
